Annual General Meeting
IPMA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) was
held on 22.07.2022 at Royal Connaught Boat Club, Pune.
The Chief Guest for the event was Mr.
Kishor Desai, CMD of M/s Kishor Pumps Pvt. Ltd. IPMA members were present on
this occasion and cheerfully witnessed the ongoing event. The AGM was well
attended by the leaders in the Pump Industry of India and also attended by
representatives of other association namely Southern India Engineering
Manufacturers Association (SIEMA) as well as Rajkot Engineering Association
(REA). Members.
The AGM was also graced by Mr. Rajiv Jain,
MD of KSB Ltd. And Mr. Shekhar Saraf, Director - Microfinish Group.
Mr. Yagnesh Buch, Past President- IPMA led
the total event and introduced the Chief Guest.
In his address Mr. Milind Alwekar - President
IPMA extended a warm welcome to all the members and the Chief guest and shared views
on overall Indian Pump industry and challenges ahead. In the post Covid era,
the Pump Industry is on a recovery path and is showing a robust comeback. He
also shared a fact that the Pump industry has shown average growth by 10 to 12
% as compared to the previous Year 2020-2021.
The chief guest Mr. Kishor Desai in his
address to the audience stressed on the importance of focused effort to study
the environment wherein the pump was required to install by way of ‘talking
to the fluid’ being pumped. This is followed by a power point
presentation by Mr. Sidharth Desai, Director – Kishor Pumps who enlightened the
members on sewage pumping technological facts and pump characteristic needs.
Mr. Farrokh Bathena presented FY2021-22 Annual
Audit Report and budget for FY 2022-23 and seek approval from the members. Mr. Mahedra
Pandhi & Mr. Gajendra Mulani were renominated and approved as Chartered Accountant
and GST consultant respectively.
A committee under the able guidance of
Mr. Krishnakumar – Past President, suggested amendments in existing Memorandum of
Articles & Articles of Association. Mr. K.V Karthik – Sr. Vice President,
presented the amendments, which were approved by the members.
Mr. Yogesh Mistri, Chairman – I- Tech
committee presented the activities carried out last year with regards to issues
being faced toward MNRE, BIS, BEE etc.
Mr. Dilip Thakkar, Chairman – I- Com
committee presented facts regarding various tenders, GST inverted tax refund,
influence of increase in input raw material cost and other commercial matter.
Mr. Prabhubhai Patel, member I- Solar
committee shared facts regarding Kusum Project specifically and gave insights
into the expected growth of Solar Pump requirement in the near future.
Mr. Mithun Ramdas, Vice President- SIEMA
presented the achievements and activities of SIEMA during last year i.e 2021-22.
Mr. Jignesh Adroja, President REA presented activities
done by REA during last year.
Mr. KV Karthik introduced IPMA’s initiative towards Social Corporate
Responsibility on ground water recharge and emphasized on the importance of
water harvesting. He also appealed the members to come forward and contribute
in this initiative by IPMA.
Mr. Farrokh Bathena presented vote of thanks.
The AGM was concluded and followed by a cocktail dinner.
